About
I’m an electrical engineer based in South Carolina, with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University. I work on energy management systems at Santee Cooper and am interested in PCB design and FPGA/RTL roles.
My hardware background includes schematic and multilayer PCB layout in Altium, embedded interfaces, and microcontroller programming. I’m building on my digital-design coursework through Verilog and Vivado labs on the PYNQ-Z2.
Experience
June 2025–present
Energy Management System Engineer
I maintain EMS network displays and system models, integrating SCADA telemetry, alarms, and status points. My work includes test planning and factory acceptance testing in Jama Connect, SCADA checkouts with relay/protection teams, and troubleshooting telemetry and model issues.
I implemented DC battery-bank monitoring and alarm logic and developed a C storm-response dashboard to track cooperative feeds and restoration status. I use Python, database tools, Linux, and Git for data analysis and engineering workflows.
January–May 2025
Laboratory Assistant · Senior Design II
I created Altium schematics and PCB layouts for assigned embedded hardware circuits: an LSM6DSOX IMU over SPI, a Micro-USB Type-B programming/debug interface with ESD protection, and a 44-pin expansion header.

B.S. Electrical Engineering
Clemson University
Engineer-in-Training; Fundamentals of Engineering exam passed.
Coursework included digital design, computer organization, microcontroller interfacing, signal processing, and communication systems.
Current study
My FPGA labs cover Verilog logic and memory designs, simulation testbenches, XDC pin constraints, and implementation in Vivado. Recent board work includes a multiplexer with switch inputs and LED output.
I’m also continuing Altium design and simulation work. My MixedSim exercise recreates a course circuit to compare component-tolerance effects. Completed training and credentials include Altium PCB Design Essentials and Mixed-Signal Simulation, Cadence Allegro PCB Editor basics, and Xcelium Simulator.
Personal
I grew up in a small South Carolina town with my older brother and younger sister. My family has three dogs—Cookie, Tarzan, and Tobi—and a bull named Canelo.
